The Radio Buzzkills

The St. Louis based pop punk band plays the Lookout style Gutter Pop you know and love. The Radio Buzzkills bring a sound that blends the best elements of the Ramones and Screeching Weasel, with bassist Jen's backing vocals lending an all important sound that's influenced by the much missed Teen Idols, only harder.

Formed in 2016 by frontman Zac Buzzkill, the band drew on a shared love of Screeching Weasel for their earliest compositions. That same year, a DIY EP release 'The Quick and The Cheap' was well received by the punk underground and even gained attention elsewhere. It became the best selling release in the history of the Braindead Records label.

The 'Can't Be Killed' EP followed at the beginning of 2017, which saw the band trading in fun songs about zombies for angry messages directed at Donald Trump. The success of the EP led to the band signing with Glendale, CA. label Outloud Records.

2018 saw the band scaling even higher heights, with their 'Get Fired!' full length earning a place among the year's most essential releases. At the time of release, realgonerocks.comcalled the record “a throwback to when pop punk was great” as well as claiming the Buzzkills were now “ready to mark their place within the pantheon of great pop punk acts.”
